I used as directed, but it left my hair sticky (as in, coated-in-honey-and-rolled-in-fly-paper sticky) and very tangled. I have average hair - thick, long, wavy/straight - and this should have been perfect. Instead, I couldn't even brush it without handfuls, literal handfuls, of hair ripped out from getting stuck in my brush. To add insult to injury, the smell is overpowering and it leaves a gross residue even after washing it out.
