Would it help remove old vinyl adhesive from a basement floor?** A: I didn’t have good luck doing the same. A good scraper with fresh blades worked for me **Q: Has anyone used this to remove glued down carpet? Please let me know if you were able to pull out the carpet easily with this stuff.** A: I used it on a carpet adhesive on a concrete floor that was probably 30 years old. The person who installed it was liberal with the glue. I could not pull the carpet up. I had to scrape the carpet up and the back separated from the carpeting. I used this product after I got the rug up. I would say it got a lot of it up but not 100%. I still had to scrape the floor to get the glue and backing up. It was a lot of effort. **Q: Will this soften the glue on concrete floor so I can pull off the glued-down carpet easily?** A: I had glue from tile on concrete and it did not work well. A grinder and wire wheel is what we had to use. **Q: Shelf life? How long can I store before using?** A: I do not know.
