This backpack can carry a 15" laptop, and my Lenovo Y50 which is a larger 15" that wouldnt fit in other backpacks. Either way you use this bag, you can carry a camera and a great deal of stuff in the upper compartment or open to backpack into a full backpack and carry around everything you need for university. Great tool for anyone traveling for sure because you are able to fit it all comfortably. Bottom compartment can carry a 5Diii with 24-70mm f2.8 ii attached along with a 70-200mm f2.8 and possible another lens, I recommend a smaller prime lens. Can meet all your photography needs for the most part, If you need more space or a better backpack go with a fully dedicated DSLR backpack rather than this one which is a more multipurpose and multisituational backpack. Overall thoughts If you want a backpack that can handle any situation, carry a great deal of gear, look great, then this is totally the one. The bag is comfortable as can be and I forget having it on honestly I was skeptical at first, and worried about the color and camo but it looks great, is built great, and performs great. The backpack fits nicely under an airplane seat. The laptop storage leaves plenty of space for a 15" laptop. I was also able to slip a tablet into that pocket as well without any issues. The camera storage compartment is roomy and easy to customize. There's plenty of room for a body and three lenses, as well as the chargers, cleaners, triggers, and other accessories for the camera. The top portion has space for wires, toiletries, and whatever else you would typically throw into a laptop bag. The pack is comfortable. I hiked it up some pretty strenuous trails on my last trip and it didn't wear out my shoulders. The chest strap helps, although I wish it had a traditional snap rather than a double U ring. The U ring makes it a bit more cumbersome to take on and off. That's the one area where I feel Manfrotto traded functionality for aesthetic. The bag resists "casual" water well, but don't lay it down in a puddle. My only regret is that it doesn't come in more colors. I would love to have bought this in a more neutral color scheme. It’s really well made and comfortable to wear. The top compartment fits a lot more than i expected. It also looks great! I love all the size compartments and internal private slots. The laptop sleeve is awesome, fits a laptop and iPad easily. Only two minor critiques, the straps, when tightened have a lot left over that dangle. I could cut them short but they are also used as cross chest straps so I don’t want to.
