Great for a queen and her kittens! Could use a few improvements.
I have a registered cattery and I bought this enclosure for young kittens and mothers to have a safe and secure place to nurse. My initial response is that this enclosure is exactly what I needed. Pros: I really like that the wheels are bolted on, so they are not as likely to come off as some other brands where the wheels just jam into the frame. I love love love that it has a pull out tray. I also love that there is no grate on the bottom, I don't want my cats walking on a grate because it's not good for their feet. I'm also super happy that I was able to get one in white. Most of them are black and I think the black ones are a bit of an eye sore. I think the white ones look nicer in a house. Having previously owned an enclosure without a pull out tray, I can tell you this is an absolute MUST have feature! The entire thing does break down easily for storage also. The height is great, as is the width. It should easily fit through any doorway after being put together. Cons: I would have preferred it was a few inches longer. The doors are okay but I do wish they were much larger. The doors can somewhat limit the size of a litter box you can use, unless you want to remove the top to add a bigger box(which would work but would be a hassle). I opted not to use the ladders for safely reasons, I would worry about a kitten getting a leg caught. Now, my biggest complaint is that I hate the platforms! Animals feet should not be kept on wire shelving or grates! I really wish the company would have provided solid plastic platforms. It only comes with one cushion for the two shelves, and of course that is going to quickly become worm or dirty so shelf covers aren't a real substitution for solid platforms. I was thankfully able to use one of the platforms from my old pet prevue cat cage, although it was a pretty tight squeeze getting it in, and in another one I actually had a board cut and painted to fit. You can see from my photos that the kittens prefer the solid plastic platforms that I added, over the wire ones that came with the enclosure. Modifications: Eventually, I ended up putting two cages together. You can see this in the last photo. So I bought four of them to make two large ones. You can just let the top portion on one side of each one hang down to allow access to both cages, then zip tie the two cages together with white zip ties and you'd never know it's actually two cages to look at it, it looks like one large one cage and gives mom and babies so much more room. The babies can't cross over into the other half of the cage until they are bigger so that's also another big plus for keeping smaller babies all in one area so they stay warm from the body heat of each other. And of course, you can always pull those side panels back up so that you have two cages again if necessary. Overall I'm super happy with this purchase and I already have another one ordered, and plan to buy two more. Side note: I don't believe in keeping cats in cages long term! I only use them temporarily for small kittens, and quarantined new or sick cats, or to temporarily separate fighting cats. If you plan to keep a cat caged long term, please look into getting a large walk in catio instead.

Easy to assemble for one person - great size for kittens!
I unexpectedly took on the care of a mother cat and her 7 (SEVEN!!) kittens recently. I was worried about keeping them safe from coyotes, hawks, etc., and found this kennel that looked perfect for my needs AND stated as 2-day delivery. It arrived right on time. Everything was well packaged, and while there are instructions for assembly, after the first step it became obvious how to put it together. It's a surprisingly sturdy structure for something that packs flat in essentially 3 major pieces (not including the shelves and ramps). The shelves do need to be placed where the instructions say in order for the ramps to work correctly - so don't throw away those instructions! Years ago I had a similar kennel, that didn't cost much less, was WAY more complicated to assemble, and didn't have as nice features - such as two locking doors. The only minor issue I have had is with 7 rambunctious kittens, running up and down the ramps (they really do enjoy it), the bottom ramp tends to fall down as it doesn't have anything to connect to at the bottom of the kennel. It doesn't stop the kittens one bit from getting to that first shelf - so really a minor issue. I would definitely recommend this product, particularly for kittens! It is big enough for mama cat to be in the kennel as well as the kittens, but when all 7 kittens get hopping/jumping/wrestling (as kittens do), mama does look to exit for some relief! Fortunately, I have a space safe for her to escape to from time to time. Again - we're talking about SEVEN kittens. Not exactly typical. :D

Good for kitten fostering/temporarily separating a kitten
We've taken in a stray 6-9 month old kitten and put her in our bathroom, and needed a way to keep her safely separated from our cat when we're not with her for the next couple weeks while we get her health sorted out and start to introduce them. I feel a lot of relief from buying this. The kitten seems happy; she comes right out to eat and play in the rest of the bathroom when we let her out, but seems entirely content when we put her inside again. It's low quality compared to say, a dog crate, but that's fine for a smaller animal. It seems sturdy enough. The removable bottom floor is nice for cleaning. The assembly was very, very easy. I really like that it's very narrow, but has enough height to make it reasonable to foster/separate new cats temporarily in a small apartment. HOWEVER: With the exception of the bottom plastic floor and the one soft cover, the floors are horrible for cats. We're in the process of covering it all with cardboard so she doesn't hate walking up. It's a really silly design flaw. There's no reason there couldn't have been fabric or plastic covers for the whole thing. It would be a much, much better item. I also wish the stairs were more firmly attached.

This "Kitten Castle" houses a stray 5-6 week old kitten at night
This is the perfect "Kitten Castle" to house the little stray kitten (5-6 weeks old?) that ran up on my back deck to escape a humongous, marauding owl! I scooped her into a carrying case and took her to the vet for a check-up and shots, When we got home, I realized she was pretty frisky to be left unattended with my 19 year old cat when I wasn't close by. So Amazon delivered the cage in 2 days, a friend helped me set it up, and her 8 year old granddaughter promptly named it the Kitten Castle. I'm so glad I chose this one because it 1) can be rolled into different rooms, 2) has a base that's easy to sweep out with a whisk broom, and 3) is spacious; it has plenty of space on that base/floor to place a small litter box and a bed/blankie/toys. The first shelf is perfect for the water and food dish while the other 2 shelves are handy for more toys and just napping. By leaving the bottom door open during the day, the kitten can freely move in and out of the cage to use the litter box, get a drink of water, snack, or whatever then roam her new home, When she hears me pop the top on a can of Fancy Feast, she runs lickity-split up to level 2 to receive her breakfast or dinner. I close the door while the older cat enjoys her meal nearby at a leisurely pace but set a timer for 15 minutes so I don't forget to open the door again. She is also very comfortable sleeping in the cage at night. I believe she feels a bit more secure not having to watch out for predators. The cage is well worth the money spent, is high quality, sturdy, and attractive.

Worth the money
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I like that this is portable, on wheels and will withstand being on the porch Ease of use: Is easy to assemble. Went better with 2 working together. I did what an other lady did and put cardboard scratch pads on the shelves and ladders. Our cat used the ladders after that. Put a small liter box it it. ( a small minted one on Amazon). Exceeded expectations. Worth the money. Not heavy if need to take it with you folded. Love having it on wheels.

Not for Kittens unless you like vet bills
product construction is sturdy enough, panels are decent quality metal with a good finish. Assembly is simple but somewhat janky as is expected with this type of panel based cage. I strongly suggest using medium sized zip ties to secure everything, think i used 20-30 on it and its very solid now. slide out tray is nice, one clasp doesn't really clasp anything but very minor gripe. The enclosure is large and provides a lot of room for smaller animals to run around and play. the 3 platform grates and "stairs" have gaps that are not spaced correctly for smaller critters, little toes and feet will fall through and get stuck. Our 10 week old kitten tried to jump from a platform and got a back foot caught in the grate and hung there with his little foot wrenched around the edge of the platform. we were right there and got him quickly, but had we not been it could have been a bad situation. Given the purpose of a cage is to allow one to leave their pet alone for a little while in a "safe" place this really should be addressed or specifically sold for larger animals. as a side note, our full grown cats also dislike the grates as their toes also go through the holes. Overall its a good cage for the right size animal - if you are purchasing for smaller animals, particularly kittens, you WILL HAVE TO COVER the stairs and platforms with something to keep them safe. left as is they will get hurt.

Animal cage
It went together and was up and being used within a hour. Sturdy, door locks good. Problem one wheel broke this morning. Would like to get ahold of the manufacturer for a new one. Can still use the cage, but it's on a angle now. The cage is sturdy. Wheels seemed OK. I am the only one that moves it in the hall once a week.

Cheap and cheesy
Update: the bottom tray locks DO NOT STAY!! my ferret found a way out and easily excaped ... He's now missing. I had this cage for less than a week and it has too many weak points for ferrets It's cheaply made so don't expect perfection. I had to zip tie the sides together because it collapsed twice. The wheels do not fit in the holes they were made for. Ladders don't stay well, could use full shelves and covers for the grates. If it wasn't going to be such a pain, I would definitely return it for an upgrade. 2 stars cause it's still a cage, you just get what you pay for.

Kitten loves this pen
I purchased this to help my resident cats get used to the new kitten. Was able to set up quickly. I find it to be quite sturdy, but added zip ties after reading some other reviews for extra security. Would recommend.

As advertised.
Works perfectly for my two indoor cats. They can be rolled out on Sundeck and remain safe., while enjoying the outdoors

Good for large rats (not babies)
The cage was fairly easy to set up, and we figured out the way to put the shelves on without hindering the doors, however if you want to house baby rats, I suggest either outting chicken wire on the walls, or get a cage with smaller gaps. One of the bars was dislodged on one of the frames, but epoxy fixed it.

Cool cage
This enclosure is ok but has the potential to be much better. So, I used the ladders to widen the platforms with zip ties.I used some 1ft by 1ft wire cube shelving I had to make an additional level and a covered section. I used cardboard wrapped in towels to clean up the look and make It more comfortable.

Mobile Cat tree
My cat likes it after I had to do some customizing. I wished it was a bit better designed. I had to cover the wire ladders and shelves with carpet pieces because my cat never had to walk on wire in her life. She was scared of it. Once I added the carpet and made the top level wider for her to lay on and not fall off, then she felt comfortable using it. I will love it when summer comes and she can enjoy some outdoor time in it . I will know she is safe outside in it also . She is a total indoor cat but she does love being with me on the deck. I think it will work great.
