I hand cranked as i walk to the chicken house on my farm and then left it on while i worked in there for at least 45 minutes. The light did Great! Crank generators flashlights this one not only came out on top for every single one of the tests it was about middle of the road for price point because there's definitely more expensive options you can go with but for my understanding they're just not as good of a product and in my opinion, the flashlight is absolutely bright enough to read by and do anything you need to in pitch black anyways that's just my opinion but it really is a good product ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Flashlight! *by A***N on September 7, 2015* I can not say enough good about this flashlight. I bought it to take with me on a trip to Africa where there are regular power outages. Sure enough, on my first day there, the room I was staying in went pitch black. I was so thankful I brought along this flashlight and kept it nearby at all times. I like that it does not take batteries and uses a hand crank. The crank stores well in the unit and there is no fear of it breaking off when properly stored. It came fully charged and for a two week trip, I did not need to recharge at any point but I did just for peace of mind :). I have also used it for camping again when there is no light and it is great.
