Eat your apple sauce; then swallow the tablet . If you are taking 2 tablets a day, one should be with a morning meal, and the other with your evening meal. Never break up the tablet! **Q: What is the expiration date?** A: My bottle has its expiration date on the left side of the front label under the American flag. My date is 2021-6. Says manufactured and packaged in South Carolina, USA with USA and imported ingredients. (Sadly probably Chinese ingredients-we're doomed) **Q: choke on them/tried cutting the softgell open /how can i cut it open and get the med out .hard to cut** A: I don't recommend cutting. I have experienced them getting "hung up" in my throat a few times. Position them on your tongue to go down like an "arrow" instead of sideways and I think you will have less of a problem. **Q: Why do they have to put the Red 40 dye in this pill? That is linked to cancer.** A: I wasn't aware they did. The Multi, that I take in the morning doesn't have that as they are green. I shall check the label. But I'm not too worried about that as I am worried about my macular degeneration getting worse, and hearing I've a little, the Preservision was recommended, and the next year, he didn't even notice if I had it. I asked the Dr. And he said it was hardly noticable and hadn't gotten worse. I do wear UV protected sunglasses at all times during the day walking outside, as even on cloudy and rainy days, there are UV rays. Now, I'm going to check my labels. Thanks ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I take it to prevent Progression of Macular Degeneration *by A***2 on April 23, 2013* Last year my ophthalmologist told me I have early dry Macular Degeneration. He recommended Preservision AREDS 2. I take them every day, 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening. I had my eyes examined last week, and there has been no progression of my MD. Only time will tell if it really works longterm, but I think it's worth it!Be sure to get the formula that is 4 capsules per day. After a week or so after I finished the bottle I found I was needing more eye drops again, so at least for me it has definitely helped with my problem, so if you have severe dry eye like me please give this a try. it's not going to hurt and could be of great help.
