Installation was OK. The directions in the teeny tiny manual talk about taking a screw out to get the faceplate. off. There is not a screw. I finally forced it and the front plate did pop off. Installation was OK. Just put your 2 neutral wires in the neutral slot and the hot and switch wire as directed and you're good to go. I wish it had a ground also but it does not.Here's the kicker that irks me. You push the up button to lower the intensity and push the down button to increase the intensity. Totally backwards of what you would think. And no it is not wired backwards by me because there is only one way to wire it. All I can think of it must be wired backwards internally. I guess I could install it upside which would look odd.So poor instructions, poor QA and absolutely no service (I've sent emails over and over with no response) makes this switch a gamble and you may not want to put up with the issues.It is close to being a good product but it is not quite there. Since I've gone to great lengths to get this installed (I'm a little anal about installing electrical products) I will leave it and learn when I want the light to go down to push the up button.UPDATE: I finally heard from their support. They confirmed that to increase brightness you press the down button and to decrease brightness you press the up button. Our home started out just like any other, with no automation at all. The first thing we did was get an Echo, and create an Alexa account. And, gradually, we've been adding more and more 'smart' features to the house. We have 'Ring' cameras front and back and a 'Ring' camera door bell. We've added indoor cameras in all the main rooms of the house. We've added smart light bulbs and smart light switches where we needed them and even a smart thermostat. Now, we can control nearly everything in the house by just telling Alexa what to do. This smart light switch is probably the best first step for anyone who is wanting to build a smart home. It is so easy to install (a single pole switch, not to be used with two way switch set ups) and a breeze to add to your home network and add to Alexa's skills. You can control it manually from the switch itself or with Alexa, turning it on or off, and dimming it to whatever level you like. Good purchase.
