I saw a similar one (from another manufacturer, but with the same engineering and materials) being used by another artist at a painting workshop - it's great for setting out tubes of paint and the cup holders are excellent for holding containers of water, medium or solvents. At 19 inches tall, you do have to bend down a bit, but it sure beats splaying all your goodies on the ground (and stepping on them) when you're painting outdoors. The top is none too rigid (after all, it's fabric with a modicum of sewn-in stiffening) so I'm not sure I'd want to balance anything on the top that doesn't have a broad, stable base.If you really want this for camping dinners and/or poker games, short chairs would be the only way to go. Easy to pack up and take just about anywhere, light weight and pretty durable if you take care of it. We use it the most at the beach and it serves its purpose. As some have said about the top itself it can sag a bit but make no mistake it does tighten up pretty well. I would be cautious of setting anything on top of it that was tall, like a whine bottle but it works fine for the cheese plate and crackers, sit the whine bottle in the cooler. All in all we are happy with what we got and it comes in pretty handy and easy to clean up, just wipe down with a brush and soap, then rinse with a garden house.
