They are a great quality and are still sharp. I originally bought them for fitting sheep but I’ve been using them for everything else. I’ve bought good singer scissors for my fabrics and it’s used only for fabric and thread, but these scissors cut just as good if not better and so I’m replacing my pampered thread scissors with another set of these just for sewing and keeping my others in rotation for every thing else. Definitely worth the money, especially if you like heavier scissors and not plastic handled lightweight scissors. These are easy to grip and are comfortable making cutting anything a breeze. I’ve never sharpened them and have had to do 1 scrub on them where some rust showed up from me not cleaning them or drying them after clipping dirty wool. The shears were amazingly sharp and they are still serving me well. I love them. The seam ripper is still in use as well as the tape measure. The shears are good, but at some point the screw thingy that holds it together came out and I simply put it back together and occasionally have needed to tighten the nut on it. It works great for layers of fabric. I mostly use on cotton that is up to four layers in one cut. Nice and accurate too. This review is coming from someone who grew up with the dullest of dill scissors and finally discovered that quality is worth paying money...so my opinion might be somewhat more positive than than a scissor contisour might give. I thought these were amazing for the affordable price they are! Im surprised they lowered the prices since I last bought my pair.
