It feels and performs just like the original SNES controller. I'm using it with my Mac (OS X 10.11), iPad/iPhone (Retroarch on iOS 9.2), and with my Raspberry Pi 2B. You need to power it up in different modes to work with each one, but once you know that, it works flawlessly. Hold B+Start for Mac, A+Start for iOS (iCade mode), and R+Start (not in the manual) for the Rasberry Pi. There's a great video on youtube by Floob on setting this up with the Raspberry Pi.After the initial setup, I haven't had any issues whatsoever pairing and using the controller. It turns on and connects right away, and I don't notice any lag with it (I play a lot of old fighting games). It powers down automatically if you don't use it for a few minutes, which is great.By the way, the weird item that you get in the package--the ring thingy with an adhesive plate--is a phone stand. Stick it on the back of your phone, and use the ring to prop it up. Just thought I'd mention that since a few of the online review I read had no idea what it was.One more thing to note... there is another listing on Amazon for this same controller. I purchased this one because it is exactly the same, but this is sold by Amazon.com, not a third party seller. For items that I think I may need to return, I try to buy from Amazon rather than a third-party seller. You can still return items to third-party sellers, but I've had less hassles and quicker refunds when returning items sold by Amazon. YMMV. However, I do try to support small businesses by buying from third-party sellers when I don't anticipate needing to return the item. I can now attest that this item works great for the uses I listed above, so if you're in the same boat, I wouldn't have any hesitations to buy from a third-party seller if you prefer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Light weight makes this controller comfortable for all old games *by L***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 17, 2017* The SNES controller is a classic, but in this age of dual analog sticks, it's easy to forget just how great of a controller it is. It's basically a modern Xbox/Playstation controller minus the analog sticks and triggers. The time-tested layout is ideal for gaming because you can easily press two face buttons and both shoulder buttons while still having full control over the D-pad. You can even use it for PS1 games as long as they don't require analog sticks or more than 2 shoulder buttons.I was afraid that the lack of grips would make it less comfortable for longer gaming sessions, but I was surprised to realize that the opposite is true. Because it's so light, you can hold it with a very gentle grip and your palms won't get sweaty like they do for the beefier controllers.I use mine both with an Android phone and with a Raspberry Pi hooked up to my TV. Perfect for older games, and I would recommend it even outside of the nostalgia factor. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works perfectly with Rpi 3 / bluetooth *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 14, 2017* I updated the firmware out of the box as recommended in Retropie's help files.Using Raspberry pi 3 - paired perfectly via bluetooth - no noticeable lag for me. Stays paired when I reboot or shut down the machine then turn it back on, not requiring me to repair the device. Feels great - buttons are all properly mashable and the controller build quality is great. Packaging was great too.I waffled a bit when deciding on a game controller for my Pi. Since I'm playing mainly NES and SNES games, I decided against an xbox controller, etc. I was worried about build quality and latency with the SNES30 after reading a bit, but these issues seem to be with older Retropie installations, older Raspberry Pi hardware, etc.Very satisfied, may order another.
