These Voltaic's claim to be always on, and I believe that is a function - while often found in USB-C ports is not a native feature to other USB port types. This product performs better than most if not all other banks that I own in three ways: 1] With a high powered charger it charges VERY FAST! 2] The dimensions are very efficient to pack the greatest capacity in the most compact shape. 3] The always on feature for the USB A ports allows me to use it with intermittently operated devices that I may want to operate remotely with the power shutting off at the bank, making the device unresponsive. Just as or perhaps even more important that the hardware performance is the human force behind the product, and I was particularly impressed with the ease and professionalism that the company backed their product, and replaced a unit in which only one port became defective! Using this with a 10w USB solar panel to charge and connected to a Wifi camera that's too far from the house to power it normally. If anyone is looking for that kind of setup, look no further.
