The best lock for the job is the Sesame combination lock. They are easy to read and last for years. Good luck. **Q: Is this lock as easy to pick as the 175 series? I want to buy it but if it's anything like the old series it is not very safe.** A: I never picked a lock but I do not recommend this lock due to the difficulty changing combinations. Big thumbs down. **Q: Is it weatherproof** A: The question "Is the lock weatherproof?". Yes and no. In my opinion nothing is weather proof, but I have a few of padlocks and this one is outlasting the others. No signs of weathering, or malfunction with freezing weather, raining weather and 100^ direct sunlight. Only thing I do to the locks is a little oil every couple years. Locked it and walked away. 1 Year later, I came back to the gate and was surprised to see this amount of rust on the lock. Also, the protective Rubber door on the bottom was open. It did not stay shut.
