The light does not touch the water but it does get some specks on it from the filter splash?** A: Yes it should work. The Chinese counterfeit versions we have seen sold contain lead and harsh chemicals. **Q: Can you use these if packaging says undimmable** A: As long as the light does not get above 205 degrees F or 96 degrees C and the light is LED based then there is no problem with using our products. I believe what they are referring to when they say undimmable is that the LED light does not offer a dimming function built into the light itself. Some Lights have electronics in them that when paired with a dimmer switch will actually evenly dim the light based on the position of the dimmer switch knob.
