I bought this for running errands around town (I live in an urban area). I did try commuting on it once - three miles each way - but realized that was too far to scooter. For short trips it's perfect. The folding mechanism is finnicky and the screw/handle for the folding part rattles if you don't turn it really tight, but otherwise everything works very well. Looking back, I do wish I'd bought one with inflatable wheels so that the ride would be smoother. This does a good job of smoothing the ride given the wheels are solid rubber and not inflated, but there's still a vibration. It's definitely large and sturdy enough for an adult.
