A: Abrir la parte de atrás. Removiendo un pequeño tornillo, luego encontrará unos números, estos deben de coincidir con el control que venía adjunto al sistema, asegurar que coincida todo, si en caso desea reprogramar hay que destapar la caja de control y copiar los números de ella para hacer que coincidan todos, probar el remoto antes de cerrarlo y como una recomendación copiar en un papel la información o tomar una foto con el celular para guardarlo como referencia y no tener necesidad de abrir ambos para programarlos en el futuro, saludos. **Q: I have something similar to this, but i'm not sure if this is the one. wonder if the ic of this remote is using smc5326p-3?**
A: I opened up one of the remote fobs that came with my E8-400MM opener.  The chip used in my remotes is an SMC5326S-3.  There is a 433 MHz oscillator crystal used so I "assume" the 400MM series run on 433 MHz and the 300MM series run on 330 MHz but the support tech Jason would need to verify that.  I cannot locate spec sheets for these chips so I cannot tell you if the S-3 version is compatible with the P-3 version.  I'd love to see the complete spec sheet(s) for the E8 openers but can't find anything beyond the install guide online.
