Ignore the vile woman above, bleach is also caustic and yet we use that to clean a lot of things. We use alcohol in a lot to clean. It evaporates, that is why people whom use computers use it. It cleans effectively and leaves no minerals behind. Water is full of them, don't descale an iron or kettle and you will see what I mean. If your mould is made out of heat resistant plastic/rubber it will be fine with IPA though.
