Review: Oh- I needed this! - I picked this version of Trusting God up at a steal of a price- at the right time too. Having struggled for the past couple of years with various aspects of my relationship with God and what my faith means (and how it works), suddenly being thrust into what is a deceivingly deep study of the sovereignty of God was just what I needed. Bridges links various life experiences and examples from the Biblical text to the topic in such a way that you can't help feeling something of a kinship with those experiences. Personally I thought that issues such as unanswered prayers and "acts of God" were well handled and exhibited a very mature faith. I loved the book so much in fact that I will be purchasing paperback copies so that I can read it again and actually drill down into the topic some more. There is a certain deep rooted satisfaction and peace that comes from realising that God actually does control every aspect of our lives.
