Plenty sharp enough to trim it well below the Jean edge. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product for the budget-minded leatherworker. *by H***R on August 11, 2020* It should be understood that Tandy tools are not top of the line in quality, but for the budget-minded leatherworker who is willing to spend a little time on the front-end sharpening and honing, it will product a nice bevel. Some of these edgers will cut a nice bevel straight out of the package, and some will not. I recommend sharpening and honing them before using on your leathercraft projects. Properly maintained, they will provide years of service, without breaking the bank on more expensive edge bevelers. All edgers (whether top of the line in quality or not) will eventually dull with use, so it is worth the time and effort in learning the proper technique to sharpen and hone. Once sharpened, you should only have to do occasional honing to keep the edge sharp.
