The research started, I ordered this kit and 2 days later I began my Phone-Smith efforts. It was easy to do for me as I am used to working with RC equipment so small screws, electronics and delicate connections comes naturally for me. Once I started it took less than 45 minutes to complete the change. BUT, when I tested the phone the ear piece speaker did not work, the contacts were not properly aligned so I opened it back up, repaired the error and it was back together and working perfectly in 15 minutes.Now the LOL fact. After making the change and before trashing the "broken" screen I began to peel off the screen protector to reveal a screen that was not cracked at all. It was a tempered glass screen protector that was broken, so now I have a spare.If your screen is broken, and you have confirmed it isn't just your screen protector, you are at least moderately mechanically inclined buy this kit ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Product works fine with very careful installation *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2017* The product works as advertised. The installation took about 1.5hours including previewing the instructions. The tools that come with the package are suited for the job, but don't count on them being high quality. Basically, the black plastic tool to pry the small cables is probably a single use tool as the tip is brittle. The screen itself is obviously not made by Apple suppliers. If you examine the replacement screen and the components on them vs the original one you can tell the quality difference. No issue as it works. The main point here is to provide future fellow users some pointers about the instruction. The uninstall part is good with adequate pointers. The only thing to be careful during the re-install is the order of the connectors on the replacement screen. The LCD sensor connector on the product I received for whatever reason ended up as the last connector and swapped with the front facing camera sensor. These two look nearly identical. The easiest way to tell them apart is that the front facing camera sensor cable has a couple of holes on it. That should be the last cable to install. I found out they were swapped when I tried to screw the EMI shield plate back on and couldn't because the cable was blocking a couple of screw holes. That prompted me to look very carefully at the tutorial video and noticed the difference in the orders. With a little careful adjustment, I was able to re-order them such that the install could be finished. All said and done, every thing works. I would say that this requires someone who is detailed, careful, and patient. Screws are very small. The repair went as well as I could expect with my skills. However after completing the phone would not even boot up. I contacted the company and they offered to rectify the situation and I send it into them and they did a one-day turnaround back to me. The cause of the problem was my fault when I reassembled the phone I had a cable improperly connected to the wrong area . There was no extra charge for helping me like this and in today's world it is very rare to find a company so dedicated and swift to resolve a customers issues and problems that were not caused by the product . I wholeheartedly recommend this company and the items they sell.
