Not exactly waterproof but I will buy again. Bought 3 pairs for a trip to Iceland. We're the first pair of walking through ankle, deep water.Wearing crocs, my feet were dry.Also, they breathe and your feet don't smell bad.After wearing them, all day it seemed like a miracle. The next day we went to the black sand beach and I wore them in surf.One foot got slightly damp even though the water never went above my ankles. The next day I wore my third pair and again, one foot got slightly damp.That means four out of six.Socks kept my feet dry and two leaked a little bit. .but not much each time one foot got a little bit damp and there was dampness inside the sock.
