It's one, long space on the lower and upper edges to accommodate for the speakers. **Q: Can I connect my keyboard with the case on?** A: The case covers the bottom edge. **Q: How well does this stand in portrait mode? Are the grooves on the case magnetic?** A: The grooves are not magnetic. They are approximately 3/4" wide & the Galaxy Tab 8 fits into them easily for landscape mode. This case isn't designed to stand in portrait mode. I suppose you could stand the case up in a triangle & lean the Galaxy Tab 8 against it, however the magnets on the edge of the cover don't have any corresponding magnets on the left side of the tablet to anchor it in the portrait position. It would be standing straight up & have nothing to hold it in place. I would not recommend this case if you are looking for one to position your tablet in the portrait position. **Q: Does the front of this case fold back and out of the way for regular tablet use?** A: Yes, it folds back.. It's a nice cover. ## Frequently Bought Together - ProCase Case for Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G 2021/S8 Plus 2022/S7 Plus 2020 12.4 inch with S Pen Holder, Smart Cover for 12.4" Samsung Galaxy Tablet (SM-X800 X806 T730 T736 T970 T975 T976 T978) -Black - apiker [2-Pack] Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus/S9 Plus/S9 FE Plus/S7 FE 5G/S8 Plus 12.4 inch, 9H Tempered Glass for Galaxy Tab S10+/S9+/S9 FE+/S7 FE --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/221122982-case-for-galaxy-tab-s7-fe-5g-2021-s8-plus](https://www.desertcart.at/products/221122982-case-for-galaxy-tab-s7-fe-5g-2021-s8-plus) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
