These have been superb - they make the switch much more ergonomic to hold; they show no signs of wear despite many, many long hours of use. Can't imagine going back to the official ones as they just feel flimsy by comparison. Review: Fantastic product with potential small glitch - I have rather large hands and the joycons on the switch bring me a lot of discomfort if I use them for longer than half an hour. I had a 9 hour flight coming up when I initially looked at this product and it seemed ideal so I bought it. Id say I played for a good 3 hours with no cramp in my hands. Just like playing with a normal controller. In addition the programmable buttons on the back are fantastic for games like Zelda as you can't run and direct the camera on a normal controller without a very strange hand placement. This makes it much easier as you can just map the run button (b or x) to one of the programmable buttons on the back. However, I did experience a slight glitch where the controller would think I was aiming to the right on the left stick. This meant my character would start walking (we're all familiar with this from old controllers). The good news is that upon restarting the console the glitch seemed to stop and the controls were back to normal. I should say that this could have been an in game glitch or the controller. With the hori pads fitted // there is a large offset between the edge of the pads and the console ... so the console never touches the surface if you set it down. **Q: I have thumb pain from regular joycon buttons. Are the buttons softer on this? Thanks!** A: I wouldn't say softer just more comfortable. With the Joycons i find my hands cramping when using the buttons as they're close together, The split pad is more like and Xbox controller in shape which I find a lot more natural to hold with better spacing. **Q: Are the buttons more quiet than the standard Joy cons? The clicking that they make is a problem.** A: I found that the A B X Y buttons can be heard when you're pressing them but the other buttons are fairly quiet, from my use of the pads anyway. **Q: Has anybody used the standard joycons and these on Skyrim.
