(How much space would it fill?)** A: There are 4 packets each w/ 8 Oz of modeling compound. I am not know for my math skills & have never found cm cubed to be a practical answer to this type of question. So allow me to answer from a father of 4. There is enough in 1 packet for the following handprint combinations:- one 7 yo + one 5 yo- one 7 yo + three 2 yo - one 7 yo + five 6 month old- two 5 yo + three 2 yo- two 5 yo + seven/eight 6 mo old- three 2 yo + nine/ten 6 mo oldEach combination includes enough excess to allow for the creation of distracting "snakes" or other whimsical non-realistic creatures to occupy those not making handprints at the exact moment. And there are 4 packets in each container.I was unsure of the volumes myself and bought 4 containers. I still have 2 left for this year's handprints and we have several strange presumably woodland creatures that I failed to label accordingly. Let me also make it clear that I am not attempting to offend those blessed with math skills with my comments. Please do not infer from the above that I think my description of volume is an acceptable alternative to the current definitions. While helpful to me when attempting to gauge how much material will be required for handprints, it could never stand alone as a basis for currency. Therefore is clearly no substitute for math. Even cm cubed. I hope this helps...and doesn't offend anyone. **Q: What is the difference between this product and the "Crayola Air Dry Clay"?** A: The clay is more durable and hard when dry, the magic is more light weight and flexible **Q: I am undecided between this big tub of 4 colors and the big box of 1oz individuals. Will this clay stay soft if kept in ziplock bags or tupperware?** A: I keep 2 buckets in my winter condo for the grandkids ages 2-12. it has lasted YEARS!
