Fully extended 6 1/8". For the money they are great lights. **Q: How many batteries does each flashlight need?** A: 18650 3.7 Volt Lithium Ion Battery or 3 AAA batteries. **Q: Is their a certain way to press the button to shut off? Everytime i try to shut off it just blinks** A: The User Interface is very bad. If you just gently press on the button you can switch the mode. If you fully press the button it turns off. I like to leave it on HIGH. But many times, after turning it off when it's set to HIGH, comes up blinking. If there is a trick to it, I haven't found it. Would not buy again. I prefer to have a simple ON/OFF switch **Q: 3 aaa batteries do not fit they do not stay or connect.
