Review: The Gateway To Fun - This was a game changer. Being able to use the available apps for racing is elite level racing. Hearing announcements on who is in the lead, who needs fuel and pit stop sounds makes slot car racing AWESOME. This makes racing so much more fun. When I turned on the app (there are free open source apps or ones that you buy extra) the racers lit up and said WHAT is THAT?? As far as value for the money, that is questionable because really in this day and age it should be included with the rce sets being the race sets are pretty expensive. That being said I'd buy it again and again because it isn't included with any set and it adds so much to the racing experience. The apps will not work unless you are wired into a PC or if you use this and a cell phone. It just snaps in like a phone line cord does. Easy Peasy to install and use. It's Carrera so it's quality. That is why I bought into their system originally. They make great stuff.
Review: Great addition - Works fantastic, no issues

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this work for the Digital 132/124 blackbox, not the control unit?**
A: No, you must use it with the Control Unit only.

**Q: Is one unit for one car?**
A: No it does every car...it's basically a race management system for your phone or tablet that counts laps and times and more.

**Q: Can this take the place of driver display and lap counter?**
A: Yes, and you can use it with SmartRace too (a third part app).

**Q: Will this work with a MacBook Pro lap top?**
A: I don't believe it will. It connects via the Carrera Race app and the app only works on mobile or tablet devices. I use it on my iPad and it works great.
