All around quality. The usual subpar pouch. *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2016* So far, this is a pretty good multi-tool. I also own a similar tool of the Gerber variety, and this stacks up. My favorite thing about this tool is how easily the separate tools release from the inside of the tool; their action is slick. To give you an idea, I recently wore this on my hip while building an outdoor shed. While wearing gloves to handle shingles, I had no problem getting this out of the pouch and manipulating every part of the tool to open up saw blades, flat head screwdriver, etc. I was honestly amazed by how well this thing worked while wearing bulky gloves. I always had trouble even bare handed with the Gerber, but this thing is smooth. The pliers are also hinged, which I like because it allows me to quickly cut through smaller rope. The button to "release" the extended tools so they stow back into the handle are responsive and large. If you're looking for a multi-tool to use with gloves this is it.I expected a silver finish, but the one I got was a shiny black, which I ended up preferring. The only reason for a dock on the stars is the included pouch. Why these multi-tools won't spring for a hard, plastic molded sheath that borders on indestructible is beyond me. I'm pretty tough with my tools, and these pouches never last long. I can tell this pouch will go the way of the two Gerbers I've had previously, and the pouch includes a button instead of Velcro, which puts it even more squarely into the "after thought" category. I'd gladly pay $10 more for something that's just as durable as the tool itself to hold it. I've been using it pretty much daily, and the only tool that isn't garbage is the pliers.Let's start with the sheath...it's busted. The snap closure broke the first day.To the tool itself, now that I'm looking at the actual product description, it's a interesting read. Wire cutters, check. Wire strippers, eh, technically I guess the little dip outs at the base of the cutters could be used for that purpose? Spring loaded nose pliers, Check, and the only redeeming feature on this tool. "Serrated edge knife" I guess, technically, there is a tool that could fit that description, but I've seen sharper, and more useful, fish scale removers. Long blade? Sure, it's a low end dull blade, but not horrible. Short blade, sure...it's actually even more dull than the "Serrated" knife, as in you can press it directly against your skin, pull, and feel safe that it won't do a bit of harm...It's a joke. Bottle/can opener? It's there. It's junk, but it's there. One of the flat head screwdrivers is, at a guess, the end of the "file" and sure, it'ed do the job better than the other two. The Philips is rounded edges and a joke.I bought this as a spare because I lost a much better tool...and, frankly, I should have just pulled a better pair of needle nose out of my kit and called it good. This thing is a joke.
