I previously purchased the green TriggerPoint Massage ball which is less firm than this one and returned it. I specifically use this to get into my hips and glutes and it is very effective (moreso than a foam roller that doesn't get into the nooks of that area). The green massage ball was useful but since massaging the hips and glutes tends to require more weight to be on the ball, the foam started cracking. I returned it quickly as I knew it wasn't going to last long and bought this one and it hasn't had any issues yet!
