I read reviews of several similar devices before deciding on this one as others frequently had reviews for inconsistent test results and even failure to determine the correct results of the test/control fluid. I like that this device only checks ketones, which makes it a little cheaper than other options, and the test strips come with lancets at minimal extra cost. The device is easy to use and I like that the company stresses hygiene and safety precautions. The testing is virtually painless thanks to the lancing device it comes with (I would not be able to jab myself with a needle so painlessly). And the strip itself requires very little blood. The results seem very consistent and I am learning to gauge how eating specific foods will affect my ketone levels. Review: Seems to be a great product - I don't have another ketone meter to compare this to, but I like the fact that it's FDA approved, and some other reviewers seem to have verified its accuracy. They now offer a box of 30, and the price per strip has come down to boot! My meter still works as good as the day I received it (almost a year ago), and it seems to be accurate (I've never compared it to another meter, but any time I'm supposed to be in ketosis, it says I'm in ketosis).
