So, this set stood up to both 4 and 13 year olds, and both age groups enjoyed it. Major success. The cards are easy to match for the older two, and while the youngest still needs some help with it, they all love it when it's their turn to use it. The magnets are strong and can be used in fun ways off of the stick as well. It comes with a ziplock bag for storage, but I have it in a plastic pencil box instead. As a mom, I think this toy is great because it is: 1) educational 2) open ended 3) affordable, and 4) easy to store: I didn't realize that the stick could be removed for storage, but it was a pleasant surprise.
