## Description

Description: This module use 24 high precision A/D converter chip HX711. It is a specially designed for the high precision electronic scale design with two analog input channel the internal integration of 128 times the programmable gain amplifier. The input circuit can be configured to provide a bridge type pressure bridge (such as pressure weighing sensor mode)is of high precision low cost is an ideal sampling front-end module. Features: Two selectable differential input channels. On-chip active low noise PGA with selectable gain of 3264 and 128. On-chip power supply regulator for load-cell and ADC analog power supply. On-chip oscillator requiring no external component with optional external crystal. On-chip power-on-reset. Simple digital control and serial interface: pin-driven controls no programming needed. Selectable 10SPS or 80SPS output data rate. Simultaneous 50 and 60Hz supply rejection. Current consumption including on-chip analog power supply regulator: normal operation <1.5m Apower down <1uA. Operation supply voltage range: 2.6 ~ 5.5V. Operating Temperature Range:-20 degree ~ +85 degree. There are some using tips from our customers: #1 If your trying to connect a strain gauge directly to it it won't work it needs to be in a wheatstone bridge config. #2 The chip sleeps after 60 micro seconds so if you plan on using something like a raspberry pi you should use a signal.signal type of command to disable interrupts. Arduino or ESP32 will be a better / easier choice. #3 it calculates the change in resistance for the wires connecting the wheatstone bridge too so if you moving anything around the readings will keep changing. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: The default sampling rate for this board is 10 sps.  how do i select 80 sps?  i know this is possible but the board has no jumpers for the rate pin.**
A: TexasTallGirl is incorrect, and Roger is correct. you have to actually lift up pin 15 and bridge it to pin 16 in order to set to 80 sps.

**Q: How do i select the 80 hz sampling rate?  i don't see a jumper to set.  it seems that the default is 10 hz.**
A: This breakout board has the rate pin (pin 15) wired directly to ground.  You need to lift it and jump it to Vsup to put it in 80Hz mode.

Used 3 of the 5 so far and they each worked great! The built in ADC converter is useful for when i use the raspberry pi. If your having problems with them it's probably you not the product! And please read the data sheet they are a little tough to finally set up the programming. Here is some tips #1 If your trying to connect a strain gauge directly to it it won't work it needs to be in a wheatstone bridge config. #2 The chip sleeps after 60 micro seconds so if you plan on using something like a raspberry pi you should use a signal.signal type of command to disable interrupts. Arduino or ESP32 will be a better / easier choice. #3 it calculates the change in resistance for the wires connecting the wheatstone bridge too so if you moving anything around the readings will keep changing.
