## Description

The Phantom PHOTOBIO Advanced Quantum PAR Meter provides accurate and cost-effective measurement for any light source used in horticultural applications. The Advanced Quantum PAR meter is designed to measure PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) flux in wavelengths ranging from 400 to 700nm. There is a positive proportional relationship between the number of photons absorbed in 400 to 700nm band and the rate of photosynthesis, important for maximizing crop yield.

Review: Excellent Light Meter with Superb Carrying Case - I'm thoroughly impressed with this light meter! From the moment I took it out of the box, I could tell this was a high-quality piece of equipment. The carrying case is absolutely fantastic - it's sturdy, well-padded, and has a sleek, professional look. But the real star of the show is the light meter itself. It's incredibly easy to operate, with an intuitive interface and clear, readable display. The buttons have a nice, tactile feel and the whole device just feels solid and well-constructed. Taking light readings is a breeze - it gives me accurate, reliable results every time. What I appreciate most is how user-friendly this light meter is. After reading substantially about taking measurements from LEDs versus sunlight, I was a bit intimidated by light meter. But this one has made the whole process simple and straightforward. The instructions are clear, and I was able to start using it right out of the box. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. The combination of the excellent carrying case and the easy-to-use, make it a no brainier. I'd recommend it to photographers or plant enthusiasts of any skill level who want a dependable, convenient light measurement tool. This is quickly becoming an essential part of my houseplant and growlight management.
Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five-Star Review: Phantom Bio Advanced Quantum Power Meter - As a home cultivator, the Phantom Bio Advanced Quantum Power Meter has seriously upped my game. It took me from blindly following vague light distance charts to actually knowing exactly where my lights need to be during each growth phase. The meter is super easy to use. I’ve walked around my house checking light levels, and I’ve learned a lot—not just about my grow tent, but also about the light my houseplants are getting. I actually discovered that some of my indoor grow lights, which I thought were good, are actually terrible. That would explain why some of my houseplants have been surviving but not thriving. If you’re just growing casual houseplants and they’ve been doing fine for years, this might be overkill for you. You can probably get by with a free phone app. But if you’re serious about growing, keeping logs, and dialing in precise numbers—this meter is 100% worth it. The light sensor itself feels solid and heavy-duty. The main body with the buttons and display feels lighter, but that’s fine because the sensor is where the real magic happens. Overall: ✔️ Easy to use ✔️ Easy to understand ✔️ Great build on the sensor ✔️ Excellent for serious growers I give it five stars. I have nothing else to compare it to, but honestly, I don’t feel like I need to—I’m fully satisfied.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will the remote sensor work under water?**
A: By default no. However i bought this to measure PAR in my reef tank. I tried a ziplock bag approach and the bag let some water in- but i found a trick that so far lets me fully submerge the sensor eye and protect it and measure PAR. I will add this trick is not supported by the manufacturer and will void your warranty but here goes:

1) plug the long straight cord into the sensor eye
2) use clear silicon aquarium safe caulk around the sensor eye; seam perimeter around the entire sensor; screw holes in the back of the sensor ; caulk around the female receptacle of the sensor while the cord is plugged in.
3) let that caulk cure for about 48 hours
4) get a small ziplock salad dressing container- just big enough to accommodate the sensor.
5) super glue the sensor to the bottom inside of the ziplock container
6) go to lowes or Home Depot and get 1 quart of clear epoxy resin.
7) mix a small batch of epoxy resin per instructions.
8) pour resin in ziplock container. Let the resin completely cover and surround the sensor eye.
9) let resin cure for about 24 hours- use scissors to cut away the ziplock container.
10) rinse encased sensor under the faucet.

Voila your sensor is now water proof and can be used under water without damaging the sensor- keep in mind this is 1000% permanent- once you do this - it stays like this.

But surety beats paying $500 for an apogee PAR meter. And you can still use it as a plant PAR meter as well.

**Q: What is the calibration uncertainty for this light meter?**
A: Absolute calibration: +/-5%

**Q: What is the precision of this product ? Do you deliver to Brazil ?**
A: Unsure of accuracy, but it is pretty comparable to the par map on any light I've tried it with

**Q: I'm curious if you would share a sensor response plot? guessing no but worth a shot.**
A: A video showing how fast the sensor responds to light intensity?

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Growers necessity.
*by K***H on July 24, 2022*

This is a necessity for growers ESPECIALLY if your serious about your hobby. I need it for my GROWERS choice roi-,e720 . Is a beast of a light. Comes in a case , simple to use ( hold the sensor where ya want it measured . Hold a button if you want to program it for records). Simple! It's given me a boost in my confidence for this and future grows by giving me a baseline . Taking out all the guess work and pain in azz calculations. I don't have another meter to compare accuracy but compared to charts is close enough for me. Saved me hundreds of dollars compared to others . Is a little light which may cone off as cheo to some as I read in another review before purchase. But is certainly not a strike against what it's intended to do for sure. Sone may prefer it being light. Less impact if dropped accidentally. I'm completely pleased with mine 👍
