We don't have an open-jaw tester that will measure DC amps, but some of our clampmeters, such as the Fluke 325, will do that. **Q: Does the t6 1000 pro have a small round silver piece of metal on the back?** A: The T6 1000 Pro does not have the silver grounding disc on the back. That was only on the T6 1000 / 600 (non-pro models previous to the Pro). Fluke has done away with the silver disc on the back for the improved Pro version. **Q: Does the triangular indicator light below the display glow red or orange?** A: RED - When a function is selected on my unit. **Q: What is the difference between the t6-1000 pro and the older t6-1000 (non pro)? i can't seem to see a difference on fluke web site either.** A: The pro's screen turns green when you have continuity (visual continuity) which is helpful in loud environments, the non-pro you can use your finger for field sense. It’s perfect for troubleshooting on the fly without having to open circuits or pull apart panels.The open-fork design is super convenient and fits most wires I work with, though it’s limited to 17.8 mm. Once you get the hang of FieldSense (which doesn’t take long), the tool becomes second nature. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Fluke — rugged, reliable, and comfortable to use for extended periods.I also love the CAT III 1000V / CAT IV 600V safety rating, which gives me peace of mind when working on high-voltage equipment.
