When it was delivered, I put it on her favorite cushion, put her on it, and she walked away. About 20 minutes later I looked it, and she was curled up on top, purring. A couple of the 19 year olds now pile on top with her - and she appears to be walking less hesitantly, and is certainly more vocal. All in all, I'm delighted with the purchase. I recommend at least trying it out if you have an elderly animal.
