If you are running a pair of curtains then make sure you pair them first. When Alexa runs a device search after installing the skill it will find your curtains (providing you have connected the curtains with the hub). I have set up a routine to open and close the curtains on an Alexa command. Works great. **Q: Does it work on all curtain rails** A: It should as I don't have rails. Compact size, easy integration with Home Assistant ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A neat and elegant solution *by K***I on 20 April 2026* I bought the SwitchBot Bot and Remote to resolve a rubbish problem in my flat where the air extractor switch was inside a walk-in wardrobe which meant having to slide the door open and push aside items on the hangers to reach and turn it on and off. Rather than hire an eletrician to re-wire everything I bought the 2 smart devices and after a few attempts to reposition the switch I had a nice toggle switch on the outside wall next to the light switch, looking very natural and as if it were always there. Putting into switch-mode and attaching the little tag for performing a push and pull was a little tricky when already mounted to a switch faceplate but got there in the end, and it took some tries to get the pull motion correctly positioned - UK rocker switches found on most light and mains faceplates can be quite rightly stiff and require some force to toggle.
