The product is all metal and is surprisingly sturdy. The only potential drawback is that if you are especially concerned with scratching your pedal, you might want to buy a couple of very thin pads from a hardware store so that the metal on the pedal extender doesn't directly contact your piano pedal. For me, this wasn't necessary, but if you have a very expensive piano you might want to take the added precaution. ### ⭐⭐ Flimsy and Damaged the Piano *by G***S on March 2, 2013* This is a great idea, but in practice, it doesn't work well. The foot piece is held onto the height adjustor with a single screw and wing nut, which you have to crank down as hard as you possibly can to keep it from wobbling. Even then, the pedal won't stay flat when you put weight on it - it tips to one side or another, making it more difficult to reach and push down on. I bought this for my 8 year old son, and after several months of use, it has ended up warping the piano's actual pedal to one side. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Useful device. It works.
