This play and freeze ice cream maker provides students with a hands-on experience studying the properties of movement, freezing, and basic science principles all while making ice cream. No electricity is needed, make the ice cream by rolling the ball, and it is ready in approximately 30 minutes and makes 1 pint of ice cream. The ice cream maker is durable, made of polycarbonate construction. Please note that additional materials are needed to make the ice cream- ice, rock salt, and ice cream mix (sold separately). Review: No está muy bien pensado - La idea es interesante, la vimos en un programa de televisión y nos atrajo la capacidad de poder hacer helados jugando con una bola. El problema es que la bola pesa demasiado como para que jugar con ella sea una posibilidad real, sobretodo para niños, además es dura a pesar del envoltorio de goma que la envuelve, que, por un lado, no es muy grueso, y, por el otro, se puede desprender, ya que estos envoltorios son intercambiables (lo cierto es que esta funcionalidad no me parece interesante). Ni bota, ni es seguro lanzarla, ni tiene un peso adecuado para jugar con ella en las manos. El tamaño no es desdeñable, así que puede convertirse en un trasto acumulado en algún rincón de la cocina.

**Q: How much salt do I need to put in the ball to make ice cream?**
A: it doesn't matter because if you put a lot in, the ice cream will just turn solid faster.

**Q: Is there a way to make vegan ice cream**
A: Yes, you could make a vegan ice cream if you used a Almond Milk, coconut, rice, soy, or other similar dairy substitute.

**Q: Can I use coarse salt if I don't have rock salt available?**
A: You should be able to use coarse salt like a sea salt. I've made Ziploc ice cream at home and used my Costco salt (grind, grind, grind) to get it done. I would not use regular table salt.

**Q: Can you use coconut cream**
A: I will add that it was indeed creamy and silky with coconut milk. Shared with friends camping and everyone was shocked that it was non dairy!

La idea es interesante, la vimos en un programa de televisión y nos atrajo la capacidad de poder hacer helados jugando con una bola. El problema es que la bola pesa demasiado como para que jugar con ella sea una posibilidad real, sobretodo para niños, además es dura a pesar del envoltorio de goma que la envuelve, que, por un lado, no es muy grueso, y, por el otro, se puede desprender, ya que estos envoltorios son intercambiables (lo cierto es que esta funcionalidad no me parece interesante). Ni bota, ni es seguro lanzarla, ni tiene un peso adecuado para jugar con ella en las manos. El tamaño no es desdeñable, así que puede convertirse en un trasto acumulado en algún rincón de la cocina.
