If you're looking at this review, you probably already know who Cryptopsy is. "None So Vile" being their legendary breakthrough. "Blasphemy..." is the excellent, lesser-known precursor to NSV. Great riffs and gutturals courtesy of legendary vocalist Lord Worm. The sound quality is not as perfect as NSV or any of their later recordings, but its still a must have.

The first offering from what would turn out to be the most demented and technical Death Metal band to fry your hearing. Lord Worm is awesome on this. Flo is the man with 20 arms and 40 legs as usual. Every track on this is a journey into Cryptopsy's own world of musical mayhem. What I love most about this is the fact that you can almost feel that the next release after this one was going to be something from another world. And of course, None So Vile, possibly the best technical Death Metal release ever, came next and destroyed everyone in its path. If you're new to Cryptopsy why not start here at the beginning of one of the greatest bands ever. Play this all the way through, then slap on None So Vile right after it; it's amazing to hear it like that. Fans of ANY Death Metal: DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS BAND!!! Necrosoul.
