Usually that also is not required. If your question is more towards riding in the rain, they dont get slippery. **Q: Will these fit on a 2011 HD ultra classic?** A: Measure your grips. If the measurements are between 1.25" & 1.45" the grip puppies will fit. **Q: what is the outside diameter of the grips?** A: My stock grips are approximately 1.3 inches in diameter.
