The #7 did not work for me. The #1 has been super effective. Be sure to pass hair in all directions to eliminate lines. When I looked, I saw that the part of the blade that moves side to side and cuts was pushed all the way to one side of the non-moving blade. This meant that the piece of the clipper that made the blade move could not drop into the hole in the middle of the cutting blade to make it move. When I realigned the blades, it worked fine. **Q: Are Cryotech blades and cryogen blades interchangeable** A: The cryogen x blade I received 7f works as a replacement for the cryotech I was using.
