The Xacto blades will fit The Handle, The slots in the case and the 20 pack itself will also fit nicely in space next to the "grindstone" (upper left in images) The #11 blades (the common one) in the 'set' are longer and end at a sharper tip than standard #11 Xacto blades. This make MUCH weaker than the standard #11 Xacto blade. Like others have said the Value is the Case, not the blades. **Q: Is the sharpening stone a wet stone?** A: No it comes dry. You can certainly use it with water, oil or even spit. Why would you? The blades are easily replaceable and cheap. Even with an excellent stone, this isn't one, you're not likely to sharpen a blade as well as factory fresh. The first thing I did with my kit was toss the stone in a junk box. **Q: How do you get new blades when they need replacing?** A: All the Blade shapes in the set are Numbered, and the number is the X-Acto blade shape its a copy of. #11 is the 'Standard'/'Classic' shape and likely what you will use the most of. A simple search here on Amazon will find you packs of 20,40,100, etc of a single blade number. I recommend buying name brand X-acto blades but its up to you. **Q: What is the actual part that holds the blade made out of? Aluminum or steel?** A: I believe its aluminum, however its thick and very sturdey easy to load blades will add pictures. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great set for the price *by B***4 on 3 October 2026* Very good .. some blades are very brittle but on the hole good value for money ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Quality and Large Collection of Blades in a tough Box *by J***D on 19 May 2026* Very good to use and a large number blades. Perfect for model making. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality at a bargain price *by L***E on 13 January 2026* Bought this kit to replace a loose collection of worn hobby knives. The handle is nicely weighted and has a partially rubberised grip, which makes it easy to handle. Blade attachment is nothing fancy, basically slip on and cinched down, but holds well. Plenty of spare blades are included but haven’t had to use any yet as the edge is holding fine (for context, this was used on plastic model kits). Carry case is sturdy, again the locking clip is nothing special but functional for the price. Overall an excellent, low cost and great value solution for most hobbyists. ## Frequently Bought Together - Amazon Basics 29-Piece Precision Hobby Knife Set, Black, Silver, Red - anezus Self Healing Sewing Mat, 12inch x 18inch Rotary Cutting Mat Double Sided 5-Ply Craft Cutting Board for Sewing Crafts Hobby Fabric Precision Scrapbooking Project - DIYSELF 16-Piece Craft Knife Set, Exacto Knife Set, 3-Piece Hobby Knife with 10-Piece Exacto Knife Blades, Precision Art Knife for Pumpkin Carving, Modeling, Exactly Knife, Pumpkin Carving Tools --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/255866721-29-piece-craft-knife-set-red](https://www.desertcart.at/products/255866721-29-piece-craft-knife-set-red) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
