It produces a buzzing fundamental tone enriched by overtones, shaped by mouth and breath techniques. Bourdon means that a ‘buzzing’ fundamental tone will always be heard, which forms the basis for numerous overtones. The better the jaw harp, the more overtones will be heard. The human mouth and throat are used as a resonator. By changing the shape of the mouth or moving the player Tongue, as well as breathing techniques, different rhythms and melodies are created. Review: Don't mind the haters. Product is great <3 - So to start, as a new player its perfect. Its sturdy enough to be very forgiving. That being said, please for your own sake and that of your dentist look up how to play it on YouTube or something or you WILL chip your teeth. My 1st twang that made music about 20 minutes into trying to figure it out chipped my front tooth. But its alright now it wasn't too bad. Just made me double down on learning otherwise I chipped a toof for no reason. Its sound is not unique persay but its still a good sound. Rather deep even when making the mouth motions to make a higher pitch. I've got another one from Grover on the way rn, a tenor harp. I'll report if that ones as good as this one. But 10 out of 10 would recommend. For all the haters saying its a prop or doesn't make sound you literally just arent playing it right stay mad lmao Review: Ótimo - Comprei para meu enamorado, ele gostou muito e agora pode brincar com isso rsrs ## Features - Great for fun and music education - By changing the shape of the mouth or moving the player’s tongue, as well as breathing techniques, different rhythms and melodies are created - Compact size - always with you - The Package Dimensions of the Product is 5.5"H x 9.5"L x 2.5"W ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00282WZG0 | | Body Material | Metal | | Brand | Grover | | Brand Name | Grover | | Color | brown | | Colour | brown | | Connector Type | USB | | Customer Reviews | 3.2 out of 5 stars 1,978 Reviews | | Finish Type | Gemalt | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00082562074712 | | Included Components | Game instructions and an eBook for clear, resonant authentic voices | | Item Dimensions | 21.6 x 3.8 x 11.4 centimeters | | Item Type Name | Jaw Harp | | Item Weight | 0.1 Pounds | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 21.6 x 3.8 x 11.4 centimeters | | Item weight | 0.1 Pounds | | Manufacturer | KMC Music Inc | | Material | Alloy Steel | | Model Name | Grover Jaw Harp | | Model Number | 8037 | | Model name | Grover Jaw Harp | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | 8037 | | Sound Profile | Clear, resonant sound with balanced tones | | UPC | 728639308105 082562074712 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Grover - **Colour:** brown - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 21.6 x 3.8 x 11.4 centimeters - **Material:** Alloy Steel - **Model name:** Grover Jaw Harp ## Images ![Jaw Harp (8037) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61IzZFyPtKL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Whats a good one for beginners?** A: Not sure if you mean song or device. As for this one I am giving it away since it doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard, it fact I don't get any sort of sound from it. I may have to go to a local music store to find one I like. The other thing I ordered was from a vid of some person playing some kind of Asian harp. He got beautiful sounds out of it and when I received it it was so small it was not functional. Oh well. Good luck **Q: Does it come with instructions on how to play?** A: Yes..comes with instructions **Q: Does it come with music notes?...like, stuff i can pratice?** A: no it doesn't . this is not a music reading instrument as the notes come from your mouth **Q: Is it tuned? If so, what note is it tuned to?** A: Has a "tune" - "note" of which one could picture them self in a Robert London 'scene'. en. The Journey of Constantine. So... . Many various "tune"s! upon a lower sounding "note"s. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't mind the haters. Product is great <3 *by J***N on 10 July 2026* So to start, as a new player its perfect.
