No feathering even on cheap absorbent copy paper. As with all India inks, DO NOT USE IN FOUNTAIN PENS, it WILL clog. This ink is made for dip pens. My only complaint would be that due to the nature of this ink and the bottle, the lid can sometimes be very hard to open. It can also leak a lot. So be sure to keep it upright and try not to leave the lid area wet with ink. Can take quite some time to dry. I've found this ink to be very dark, slightly darker than sumi ink. Review: amazing Ink - Absolutely amazing ink for copperplate calligraphy. It offers an appropriate amount of viscosity and is thicker than other inks. Very good for dip pens (nibs and glass both) ## Features - OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE - Offers excellent reproduction quality on absorbent surfaces - WITHSTANDS FADING – Offers optimum lightfastness - CONVENIENT SIZE – 2-Ounce plastic jar ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0007ZJ8TM | | Best Sellers Rank | #20,866 in Office Products ( See Top 100 in Office Products ) #27 in Drawing Inks | | Brand | Speedball | | Brand Name | Speedball | | Container Type | Bottle | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 5,304 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00651032033384 | | Ink Color | Black | | Item Type Name | Speedball 2-Ounce India Ink, Super Black | | Item volume | 59.14 Milliliters | | Manufacturer | Speedball | | Manufacturer Part Number | 385460 | | Model Number | 385460 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Package Size Name | 2-Ounce | | Package information | Bottle | | Paint Type | pigment | | Paint type | pigment | | UPC | 775422356027 608766665114 651032033384 707004744038 647409203405 308132633319 798804263843 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Volume | 59.14 Milliliters | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Speedball - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00651032033384 - **Item volume:** 59.14 Milliliters - **Package information:** Bottle - **Paint type:** pigment ## Images ![Super Black India Ink, 2-Ounce - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81dyCUoWSIL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can I use this ink for fountain pen?** A: NO! Never use India Ink or anything that’s not water based in fountain pens! Stick to the ones made by pen manufacturers and ones labeled fountain pen ink. India ink can clog fountain pens and the clean process decimates the pen. Do not listen to anyone who says otherwise, the answer is straight no. **Q: will this work in platinum carbon desk fountain pen?** A: No. Do not put this in a fountain pen. **Q: Can it be thinned with water? I'm going to use it to "age" wood for a modeling project!** A: Yes. It mixes well with water. **Q: can this be used in lets say graffiti markers** A: I honestly cannot answer that... ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent ink for DIP PENS on cheap absorbent copy paper *by R***Y on 9 April 2016* Excellent ink.
