I don't want to degrade sound quality.** A: Yes **Q: Do i need a pre amp for vocal mic? also i currently use pod by line 6. does this have something similar?** A: I haven’t needed a pre amp **Q: Is there live monitoring? And can i turn it on and off??** A: You can only monitor INPUTS on the MK2. You cannot monitor outputs. So if you are trying to DJ and you want a cue in your headphones or booth, you are outta luck. You are better off finding a used MK1. **Q: Does the output jack in the front passthrough audio from your computer as well or does it only output the input signal for monitoring?** A: Both. These will work with iOS, but you may need to use a powered USB hub to supply extra power to the audio interface.
