The crossed lines really help with 1) the putt line you want and 2) shows you the square putter face line. Makes a difference in the putts. I hit 6 of our long putts in a team scramble. Well-made and it is easy to draw in the template. It comes with a marker so that is a value in itself. I like the green color because it lets you clearly see your mark on the ball, so you know it is good. Also, the other side has a place to mark too but I like to use it to line up on the directional logo that are on most balls so the line I draw on the other side is atheistic in its placement on the ball. Really easy to use! Just pop the ball in, draw your lines with the template, and you're ready to go. I love using the alignment lines on the ball to line up my putts. My playing partners just place their ball and putt but I like to read the green, line up the ball and practice swing and putt. I feel like I get a lot more good reads and truer strokes. That's just me though. I love this product
