Review: Great for a console-like gaming experience on your phone! - I purchased this device to be able to have a console-like experience on my tv with my Xiaomi Poco F5 Pro. Despite being very solid at gaming, the phone does not support visual output over USB-C, and wireless mirroring was not an option because the input lag made gaming practically impossible. After plugging everything up and installing the necessary software, this device seems to work like a charm. The visuals are solid and the input lag is barely noticeable using a Bluetooth(Xbox) controller. Maybe the only annoying things are that you need to connect to the device over Bluetooth to get audio output, and the HDMI connector does get very hot very quickly. I won't knock the use of third-party software as it seems to be the norm with devices like this and is likely necessary to get around the hardware limitations of the USB-C port not outputting visual natively. Overall, very satisfied!

I purchased this device to be able to have a console-like experience on my tv with my Xiaomi Poco F5 Pro. ### ⭐ The required software is questionable

I ordered this and tried it out. It works, but for me a hardware solution was unnecessary. I found a software solution on Google Play that works with Roku which works well for three of my TV's of different sizes and manufacture. I also downloaded the Mirroring software which is required to use this hardware for some reason. After reading the agreement I decided to return this item. This software requires the user to give up virtually total information and control of phone content. It seems to say that you need to be careful about what content you are using this item for, which implies that not only your IP address, phone info including the IMEI, information on your ISP, and the content you cast from your phone to the TV are being transferred and monitored. The wording on this agreement is both specific, and vague in the sense that some things seem contradictory. This item seemed to work well enough, but I'm not sure it's necessary to accomplish screen casting or mirroring, and I would suggest to anyone wanting to use this to actually read the software agreement prior to use. This would be particularly important if using this software in a business or government environment with sensitive or proprietary information. I would attach this agreement in full, but only photos are accepted - no pdf's so there are sample jpg's.
