When fully seated, they stick up above the rim of the glass funnel by about a half inch (~1 cm). I was deciding for a long time whether to get this since I have origami and v60, after tried it, this is much easier way to brew a quick and delicious coffee! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The perfect coffee maker *by D***R on 9 November 2022* Pop it on a mug, add a filter, add water, add freshly ground coffee, wait three minutes, press the button and in 30s you have perfectly brewed coffee. Combines the positives of a French press (easy, full infusion, depth of flavour) with the cleanliness (of flavour and lack of mess) of a v60 with out any silty residue, or faffing with a slow careful pour. I have a clever dripper too which is now my travel companion, but the Hario Switch is my preference at home because its really nicely made and much easier to clean being glass + silicone.
