Recently, scientists have discovered that many dinosaurs were feathered! This Toob includes a feathered Sittacosaurus, Protoceratops, Pachycephalosaurus, Chasmosaurus, Apatosaurus, T-rex, Caudipteryx, Dilong, Beipiaosaurus, Microraptor, Velociraptor and Sinornithosaurus. Although scientists arent sure why dinosaurs evolved to have feathers, one thing thats certain is that they were not capable of flight like modern day birds. While there are many theories, such as heat regulation and defence tactics, perhaps you will be the one to finally solve the riddle with careful study of these accurately hand painted and researched figurines! One thing thats true of feathers when compared to scales is the kinds of coloration feathers are capable of. Whether its the Caudipteryxs with its beautiful fiery red and yellow feathers or the tawny Velociraptor, all 12 dinosaur figurines in this Toob range from 1.25 to 3.75 inches tall while the Toob itself measures 1.5 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 12.8 inches tall, about the size of a standard American ruler. The actual hypothesis that birds were descendants of dinosaurs was suggested as early as the mid-19th century by biologist Thomas Henry Huxley. However, without significant evidence, Huxleys theory never gathered steam. It wasnt until 1969 when John Ostrom found a theropod (a suborder of dinosaurs) which had a skeletal structure that was almost identical to modern birds. This caused a much more systematic search for fossils of feathered dinosaurs, which were eventually discovered in the mid 1990s. Since then, it has become common knowledge amongst biologists and palaeontologists that some dinosaurs were indeed feathers, and many current species of birds are their descendants.

**Q: Reviews from 2016-19 say coloring has changed for the worse.  Have the colors improved? Have recent purchases of dinos matched the colors online**
A: The colors definitely don't match what is pictured online when the individual dinos are shown. The image of the dinos in the tube is closer to what you actually get.

**Q: Are the names on the dinasaurs?**
A: Yes, the names are on the dinosaurs. It is small print, 3 lines molded usually into the abdomen, and the same color as the dinosaur. So some can be more difficult to read.

**Q: Do the dinosaurs have feathers?**
A: They are made from plastic but some dinosaurs, not all,  do have feathers as features of the figure.

**Q: How big are the individual toys?**
A: 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 inches long or tall, depending on the figure

No está mal, pero tenemos también el otro tubo de dinsosaurios que tiene la marca y sin duda el otro modelo es mejor: Apatosaurus, Triceratops, Iguanodon, Dilophosaurus, Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Dimetrodon, Velociraptor, Spinosaurus, Diplodocus y un Pteranodon.

### ⭐ TERRIBLE! Zero Paint Effort!

Avoid these. The two photos are examples of how just two black dots on each figures set of eyes justifies the term ‘Hand Painted’ The detail in sculpting is absolutely there if picked out properly with paint which it isn’t. The plastic is fine but the paint is virtually non existent. Safari LTD clearly trying to cut corners and maximise profit. If you can find an older batch/release of this set at a reasonable price even if it’s a bit more get those because the previous versions were much better painted. As things stand until Safari LTD get their quality right don’t buy their products. That’s my stance I recommend companies such as Schleich, CollectA and Papo. Sadly at one time Safari LTD used to be up there in the top recommended. But not anymore such a shame. AVOID THESE!
