Y está la usé para hacer un caldo de huesos, la programé en LOW por 8 horas y salió todo muy bien, el tamaño es genial para comidas de 3-4 personas, fácil de lavar y limpiar, manejo de opciones con botones fáciles de identificar. Solo cuidado al lavar el contenedor de cerámica porque si se quiebra es dificil encontrar repuesto, me pasó con el modelo de tamaño mas chico.
Review: I love this! My old one broke and I was looking for an upgrade. This one lets you set it cook temp/time and after this cook time ends it automatically switches to warm. This is great for me because I usually start meals before I go to work, and I don’t return from work for 10 hours. I love coming home to my dinner! It’s size makes it difficult to clean in my sink, but I always use a liner for it to help with ease of cleaning. I use it mostly for soups, stews, curries, chicken, or pastas. It does get a lot hotter than my old one, but I read that in reviews and adjusted my time/temp to account for it.

**Q: Where is this cooker made?  Does it have a Prop 69 label? ( I'm concerned abut lead content in the glazed insert.)**
A: You mean Proposition 65, right? The electronics in the unit would be enough to necessitate a Proposition 65 warning. Does the ceramic liner contain any appreciable amount of heavy metals, like lead? Hamilton Beach states that their ceramics factories are lead free. Indeed, all the online tests I've read indicate the Hamilton Beach glaze is lead free, and they pass strict manufacturing tests for lead leeching. Note that the glaze is the barrier between food and the earthenware ceramic container, and it is what is guaranteed to be lead free, and that is the important part.

**Q: What is the material of the crock pot ? Is it metal, ceramic or cast aluminium ? Also is it non stick ?**
A: The exterior is metal with plastic for the handles and time/temp controls. The lid is glass with a plastic handle and metal rim. The interior pot is glazed ceramic. When cooking as directed, I’ve never had anything stick hard in a crockpot, and suspect it would take some serious effort to do that. Not even cooking stuff in barbecue or teriyaki sauce sticks hard. Everything has always washed off with little effort, and I always wash mine by hand. There’s a reason why glazed ceramic is so popular for prolonged cooking/baking, you know.

**Q: Does the temperature switch to warm automatically after the heating time is finished?**
A: Mine doesn’t switch over to warm automatically. It turned off. Bought another, more reliable unit and gave this to a housewife down the street who will be around when this shuts down and can set it to warm if necessary.

**Q: Can it be used as a rice cooker?**
A: Most can so I don't see why this one can't. A simple direction for one would be:DirectionsRub your slow cooker lightly with 1 tablespoon butter or margarine.Pour in rice, water and salt.Cover and cook on High 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.Note: Up to 4 cups raw rice may be prepared in slow cooker making 10 cups cooked.

Used this right away and had no issues. Item arrived quickly and cooks things perfectly. You can set the time in two-hour increments up to 10 hours, and then switched to warm once the desired cook time is reached. The handle on the lid became loose, but I just had to tighten it and had no further issues. Definitely recommend, at this price point you can't go wrong!
