**Q: would a curved #12 blade work in this?**
A: If its a standard blade it should,  if its a exact type blade. I can't really tell from here.

**Q: Can I use other scalpel blades?**
A: As long as it is for a No. 4 scalpel handle, yes. That cutout in the blade is standardized and the following No’s should all work: 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 22A, 23, 24, 25, 25A, 26, 27, 36

Mostly pleased with this knife. Heavy for its size- but also very sturdy. Perhaps a bit long and wide for a knife to keep in your back pocket- but it does fit in a back pocket. My main "gripe" with this knife is that it lacks a locking mechanism - I prefer lock back type knifes. That being said it does lock open quite securely.

The build quality is excellent and I love the simple design its much better than other similar knives. Unfortunately it is a little bit too large to put on my keychain comfortably since it uses #24 blades. I would instantly buy the same knife but slightly smaller if it used #23 blades.
