USB A is a highly robust connector going on 24 or so years. The USB C connector though fast has been known to lose how well it holds into the receptacle after awhile. USB A is also still the most common connector thus making it the most compatible. **Q: How can i program the backlights to display my own rgb sequence?** A: Unfortunately with the Keychron K4 you are unable to program your own colors or pattern. You can select from some preset patterns or a specific color using a key on the keyboard. **Q: "usb accessories disabled" when connecting through an external display. any idea as to how to fix this ?** A: What's giving you that message? Windows or the display itself? Doesn't sound like windows... If so, Google the message with the model of your display. Probably many other people have had this problem. **Q: Are the switches hot swappable?** A: No, on this keyboard you can’t hot swap. It’s a good keyboard but it’s not what your looking for if you want to change out keys. ## Frequently Bought Together - Keychron K4 Wireless Bluetooth/USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard, Compact 100 Keys RGB LED Backlit Gateron Brown Switch N-Key Rollover, Aluminum Frame for Mac Windows, Version 2 - Logitech MX Master 3S Wireless Mouse, Ultra-fast Scrolling, Ergo, 8K DPI, Track on Glass, Quiet Clicks, USB-C, Bluetooth, Windows, Linux, Chrome - Graphite --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/268054979-k4](https://www.desertcart.at/products/268054979-k4) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
